SPORTS DAY 2026-2027
The Sports Day 2026 of Sacred Heart Matriculation Higher Secondary School was conducted on 1st August 2026 with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit. The event provided our students with an opportunity to showcase their strength, stamina, discipline, teamwork, determination and sportsmanship.
The programme was graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, RSP Officer Mr. Bipdish Sigh Chadha, Senior Duty Planning Officer, Ambattur and Porur Range. His presence and words of encouragement inspired our young athletes to participate with confidence and give their best.
33RD MAR IVANIOS VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT 2026–27
The 33rd Mar Ivanios Volleyball Tournament 2026–27 was conducted on 14th July 2026 with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit at Sacred Heart Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Padi.The tournament brought together talented young volleyball players, providing them with an excellent platform to demonstrate their skill, teamwork, discipline, determination, and sportsmanship.
The event was graced by Mr. Sasikumar, a former student of Sacred Heart School and a volleyball player, as the Chief Guest. His presence added special significance to the occasion and inspired the young players to pursue excellence
INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2026–27
The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2026–27 was held on 13th July 2026 with great dignity and enthusiasm. The ceremony marked the formal appointment of the newly elected School Leaders and Student Council members, entrusting them with responsibilities to serve the school community with commitment and integrity.
The programme began with a solemn and inspiring atmosphere, followed by the oath-taking ceremony, during which the newly appointed student leaders pledged to uphold the values, discipline, and traditions of the school.
INAUGURATION OF THE NEW LIBRARY & PHYSICS LABORATORY
The school proudly inaugurated its new Library and Physics Laboratory on 8th July 2026, marking an important milestone in the continuous development of the school’s academic facilities. The new Library provides students with a vibrant and enriching environment to cultivate reading habits, broaden their knowledge, and explore a wide range of books and learning resources.
On this special occasion, our Manager, Rev. Fr. George Vettikattil, and Principal, Rev. Fr. Moncy Kaleeckal, blessed the new Physics Laboratory, invoking God’s blessings upon the students and teachers .
PTA GENERAL BODY MEETING
The PTA General Body Meeting was held on 27th June 2026 with the active participation of parents and teachers. The meeting featured an insightful seminar by Prof. Dr. Sneha, Psychologist, The Banyan Academy of Leadership in Mental Health, who addressed the gathering on matters related to the well-being and development of children.
Following the seminar, the PTA General Body Meeting was formally conducted. Various important matters concerning the changes, improvements, and future development of the school were discussed. The meeting provided an opportunity for parents and school
LIFT INAUGURATION CEREMONY
Sacred Heart Matriculation Higher Secondary School marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of the newly installed lift on 22nd June 2026. The lift was formally inaugurated by our respected Bursar and Local Manager, Rev. Fr. George Vettikattil, in the presence of the Principal, staff members, and students.
PONGAL CELBRATION
We Celebrated Pongal on 13th January 2026 with traditional enthusiasm and cultural pride. The celebration showcased the rich heritage of Tamil culture and expressed gratitude to nature for a bountiful harvest. The pongal celebration instilled cultural values among students and encouraged them to respect traditions while celebrating unity and gratitude.
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
We celebrated Christmas with great joy and festive spirit on 22nd December 2025 . The Campus was beatuifully decorated, reflecting the true essence of the season of love, peace and sharing.The event brought together students and teachers ,fostering a sense of togetherness and joy , making the celebration memorable for all.
KALASANGAMAM 2025-26
Kalasangamam 2025, an inter-school arts competition, was held on 10th October 2025 with great enthusiasm and participation from various schools. The event provided a vibrant platform for students to exhibit their artistic talents in dance, music, drama, and visual arts. The celebration began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a series of captivating performances that showcased creativity and cultural diversity.

ZONAL ACHIEVEMENTS

Our U-17 Kho-Kho team finished as runners-up at the zonal level.
1 August 2025 — Athletics
Nixon Jasper P. (Class X) secured a Silver (2nd place) in Triple Jump and a Bronze (3rd place) in High Jump at the zonal meet.

ARTS DAY
The vibrant Arts Day of our school was inaugurated on 1st August 2026 by Rev. Fr. Jenitto, Bursar of MGPS. The event provided a wonderful platform for students to showcase their creativity, talent, and artistic skills across various competitions.
The day was filled with enthusiastic participation, cultural performances, and a spirit of healthy competition. Prizes were awarded to the best performances, and the winners were recognized for their outstanding achievements.

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET
The Annual Sports Meet of our school was inaugurated on 30th July 2025 by Mr. Christopher Nallarasu, Former Coach and Manager at Madras University. The event began with great enthusiasm, showcasing the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition.
Students from all houses participated actively in a wide range of track and field events, displaying determination, discipline, and athletic talent. The day was filled with energy, cheers, and inspiring performances.

32nd MAR IVANIOS INTER SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT
The 32nd Mar Ivanios Inter School Volleyball Tournament was held on 11th July 2025 at 9:00 AM with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Paul Pandian Thangavel, renowned Volleyball player from ICF Southern Railway, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and declared the tournament open with the first match.
A total of 16 schools participated, showcasing their talent, teamwork, and dedication throughout the competition.

BISHOP VISIT AND BLESSING
On 9th July 2025, our school was honored by the gracious presence of His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Mathews Mar Pachomios, our Patron, together with Rev. Fr. Shaji Mathews Vazhayil (Chief Vicar General) and Rev. Fr. George Vettikattil (Manager). They visited the school, spent valuable time with the staff, and imparted their blessings to all.
As part of the day’s events, a seminar for teachers was conducted by Rev. Fr. Pradeep Vazhatharamalayil, providing inspiration and guidance for the academic journey ahead.
SEMINAR & PTA GENERAL BODY MEETING
The Seminar and PTA General Body Meeting was held on 28th June 2025 at 9:00 a.m. in our school premises.
The seminar on Parenting Style and Approach to Children and Stress Management Techniques was conducted by Mr. K. S. Ramesh and Mrs. Angeline Roveena from the Banyan Academy of Leadership. The session was highly informative and provided valuable insights for parents on effective parenting and stress management.

The Investiture Ceremony of our school was held on 25th June 2025 at 8:30 a.m. with great dignity and pride. On this special occasion, the newly elected student leaders were formally entrusted with their responsibilities.
Master. Sakthi (XII A) and Kumari.Aishwarya (XII B) were elected as the Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. All the Captains and Class Leaders were honored and took their oaths to uphold the values of the school and lead their peers with dedication and responsibility.
